For services
FixEcho writes to the service that is responsible — found on its official website or in a public register — so a service needs nothing to start.
The e-mail
At most one e-mail a day per service, on working days, with the new reports and the reminders, each with its photo and place (never who reported). The first one says where we found your address.
Answering
Under each case, one click: This is ours, We're on it, Fixed (with a photo), or Not ours (and who is, if you know). Nothing changes until you confirm on the page that opens. You can also just reply to the e-mail; FixEcho reads replies, and a “fixed” needs a photo attached.
Reminders
They continue until people confirm the fix — less often once you have answered, and only while people on the spot still see the problem. A few days before a date you gave, the e-mail mentions it. Four unanswered e-mails in a row, and you hear from us once a month.
A free account (optional)
Open a free account for your service is at the bottom of every e-mail. The account is that e-mail address itself and works while it is your service's address with FixEcho. From For responsible services in the app you add colleagues: an address on your service's domain at once, any other after our check. Everything you do is public under the service's name, never yours.
What a service cannot do
Close a case alone (people confirm the fix, or it holds after 21 days unchallenged), move a case to another service, confirm its own fix, or see who reported. Stop e-mails to us is honoured at once; the cases stay public.
